Luxor, the capital of ancient Egypt during the glorious period of the New Kingdom (1580-1085 B.C.), for the ancient Egyptians it was “Wast” which also means prosperity and for the Greeks and the Romans it was Thebes holds a great place for Egyptologists and history fans as it is really “the greatest open air museum in the world”.
